"The Half Shilling Curate" - A talk by Sarah Reay on Thursday 20th February 2020

Sarah Reay will tell her grandfather's story, 'The Half-Shilling Curate' who was attached to the 68th Brigade in 1915 and served as Army Chaplain to the 12th & 13th DLI battalions and the 10th & 11th Northumberland Fusiliers. He was the only known Army Chaplain to be awarded the Military Cross Medal for exemplary gallantry on a ship during the entire war.

Copies of the book, now in its third edition, will be available to anyone interested, signed and at a discounted rate on the night including a 20% donation to the Royal British Legion.
